Hugo Gomez-Solorio
Industrial Project Manager
Hugo was born and raised in Northern Mexico. He is familiar with hard work having grown up working on his father’s farm and then doing concrete work in the United States when he was on breaks between school. After graduating, Hugo studied engineering at college in Juarez City. At age 24 he returned to the United States and took up working on the oil rigs around Midland, TX.
"I consider myself a restless person, and that is why I always need to grow and improve. This job allows me to do that, which is why it is perfect for me. Thanks to this work, I have grown. I imagined and my dreams and ideas become real.”
In 2015, he relocated to Idaho and began his asbestos career at Abatement Pro; three years later he joined the travelling crew with Pacific Technologies and has become highly skilled in all aspects of Industrial projects.
Hugo’s combined experience of hard work and engineer-minded thinking/training make him a good fit for field project management. Whether he is rigging a load or writing a work plan or lifting transite panels, he excels. Informed by his view that the company is one big machine and that everyone is indispensable and has an important role, Hugo leads by example. His philosophy is, “work harder and smarter.”
When Hugo is home in Idaho he continues working hard, but enjoys spending his off time with his wife and 5 kids. Every year they make a trip to his childhood farm in Mexico, which he hopes will give his children experiences that inspire them to work hard.
